BVR: Ours for a day!

Embrace 20 years of

Bristol longboard tradition with us next Sunday 19th May.

The legendary Bridge Valley Road, BVR, is closed to traffic from 0600 to 1430 for the Great Bristol Run.

And the best part?

They don't even run up it - it's all ours!

The hill is mellower on the top, steeper towards the bottom, typically lending itself - but not limited - to a slide/freeride session.

Sliding... Curious?

With the help of some of Bristols (and indeed the UKs) most accomplished longboarders, Danielle is running beginner and intermediate sliding lessons.

It's the most fun way to slow down a skateboard, but it does require one important bit of gear above all others: Slide Gloves.

We've actually sold out of the larger sizes right now, so for our own pleasure and yours have returned to the basics. If you want to come and need some gloves, it's time to get DIY:

All in for less than a fiver, and a whole new world will be yours to explore.

It's going to be a big session, with friends coming from far and wide to celebrate the recent bout of sunshine and the feeling of wind in your face.

See you and your gardening-come-slide gloves there,
Matt @ Vandem

The lads from Lush Longboards have been skating BVR every time it's closed for almost 20 years... just look at that smile!
Rumour has it, a few of them will be there on the 19th once again.
